We’re in the news! Okay Tasks is proud to be featured in The Edge Malaysia! From humble beginnings to becoming a go-to cleaning app for households across the Klang Valley, we’re on a mission to solve a common but stressful problem — getting reliable, on-demand cleaning services when you need them most.
In the article, Tim Goi, the founder of Okay Tasks, shared the strategic philosophy behind his startup, which officially launched in September 2024. Speaking on the challenges of a competitive market, Goi emphasized that Okay Tasks was designed to succeed where previous multi-service platforms had faltered by maintaining a strict focus on a single service: professional cleaning.
By utilizing a system that set fixed prices and automatically matched vendors based on proximity and availability, the platform prioritized user-friendliness and efficiency over the complex bidding models used by former industry players.
Goi highlighted that the decision to focus exclusively on cleaning was driven by the high frequency of recurring demand, noting that office and home cleaning often generated weekly or monthly repeat orders.
To differentiate the app from rivals like Recommend.my and the defunct Kaodim, Okay Tasks implemented a unique “on-demand” feature allowing users to hire cleaners with as little as two hours’ notice.
This model not only reduced operational overhead but also addressed common household scheduling frustrations, positioning the company as a specialized, reliable solution for busy families and businesses across the Klang Valley.
